So after Joe Jockel made many attempts to sound like a typical digital marketing online guru by writing in the third person, he quickly abandoned that approach and decided to write this page as a letter to his friends based on how he lives his life and serves his clients. No fluff, no BS, direct, sharp, and authentic.

I have been described by friends as “The REAL, Most Interesting Man in the World” with a degree from Fordham University in New York City. During the late 90s and early 2000s, I cut my teeth in show business. An era of back-end revenue streams besides box office earnings. I am even writing a tell-all book about that time and my success because of the systems I executed to find a script's value. The hallmarks of a phenomenal script are artistic integrity and marketable value. It needed “legs” to make money, a lot of money. Soon after my time, “In the biz,” as they say, I ran my direct-response copywriting agency, Capto Media. My core competency was ghostwriting books used as a “trip wire” or premium for various continuity programs. A ghostwriter is a man blessed with bright talent but cursed with dim luck. The brilliant ghostwriter will do all the work and receive a pittance, while the illiterate fool will be given a king's ransom. God’s great joke.

I live in Newport Beach, California; I surf, sail, fish, golf, play a ton of tennis and pickleball, and volunteer for a few non-profits that are near and dear to my heart. I am the “Fun Uncle” to my 12 nieces and nephews and am looking to buy a dog.
